Q: What are the orthoses made of?
A: The module comprises bonded dual density components with a top cover. Corrective heel wedges of varying degrees are attached and where necessary forefoot additions are also applied.
Q: If I buy new trainers, what sort should I buy?
A: Neutral trainers with a removable insole.
Q: If I have orthoses, will I have to get a larger size trainer
A: This should not be necessary especially if they have removable insoles.
Q: Will the orthoses for my trainers fit in my `everyday` shoes?
A: They will fit in a similar deep shoe but unlikely to fit in a formal or fashion shoe.
Q: How long will the orthoses last?
A: They will deform to the shape of your feet but the corrective posting will be effective for many months or even years depending on factors such as `frequency of use`, `weight` and whether they are used for walking or running.
Q: If I want a second pair will I have to pay the full amount?
A: As I already have your details and prescription the second pair will be approximately 25% off the current price.
Q: If I do not get on with the orthoses, can I have my money back?
A: In the unlikely event that the orthoses do not correct your foot pathology, following any adjustments or alterations, then a refund of the cost of the orthoses will be made.
Q: I have already tried `off the shelf` orthoses that did not help so how do I know `Orthotics Online` orthoses will work.
A: There are many different orthoses / arch supports on the market. Some are just arch arch supports, which strictly speaking cannot be described as orthoses as they are not corrective. Others come with an arbitrary corrective `heel post`. Having read the completed questionnaire and examined the cast of the feet I am in a good position to incorporate corrective aspects to the device which will help the feet to function correctly.
Q: If my orthoses work well in my trainers and I require orthoses for fashion shoes can you provide a suitable device?
A: The orthoses provided for fashion shoes are a much slimed down device and therefore the corrective aspects are compromised to some degree as well as being more expensive.
